Come learn the core routines, naturalist and mindfulness practices that aid in cultivating your senses, and honing your attention. Time in nature is nourishing regardless of the manner of its undertaking, but are we just bringing our distraction or stress with us? The natural would has much to teach us and often it takes a clear head to be cognisant of those lessons, this course will impart to you a toolkit for increasing your awareness, diminishing distraction and deepening the ways you already connect to yourself and the natural world.
This course is for anyone, from the beginner outdoor enthusiast, to seasoned environmental educators.
What to bring:
Please bring something to sit on (picnic blanket, yoga mat or fold out chair), stationary for taking notes. Weather in Tasmania is unpredictable, ensure you arrive with a warm jacket, a raincoat and sun protection. Some of this course will take place off track, it is imperative that you bring sturdy worn in boots/shoes.
This course does not include lunch, please ensure you bring whatever food/snacks and water you may require. There will be breaks for morning tea and Lunch; however the location of this course is not near any stores so ensure you have all food you might need with you when you arrive.
